Many small villages around the Hunsrück town of Kleinich have formed a parish since the Reformation, the Protestant "Kirchspiel" Kleinich. The name has remained common to this day, even after the French Revolution, when the civil territorial authority was created and the parish became the parish of Kleinich. These villages are characterised by beautiful slate-clad farms and houses. This is followed by the ascent to the village of Fronhofen via a former "Eierpädchen" and an old abandoned country road. In earlier times, both roads formed a direct connection from the parish to the Moselle and served the exchange of goods. Speaking of trade - in Emmeroth there is a farm shop with alpaca wool clothes.
